ABOUT THE ARTIST

My main goal is to tell the story of the midwestern farm visually through paintings. I spent my childhood with my grandpa, dad, and brother working on the farm and currently live on my great grandparent's farmstead with my family. It is a beautiful life and one that many people in the Midwest have roots in. My work is centered around American Impressionist principles but borrows from all forms of visual storytelling, from animation, illustration, cinema and digital art. I work primarily on cradled gesso panels or stretched canvas with Oils or Acrylics depending on the size and place I'm painting. I do smaller paintings both outside in plein air and in the studio and create larger works using those smaller works.

ABOUT THE ART

Paintings created on cradled panels or stretched canvas, done in an American impressionist manner. They are painted either outdoors in plein air or in my studio. The landscape and farm scenery are my primary motifs of interest.
