ABOUT THE ARTIST
The places where water and land connect, whether the vastness of the ocean or the smallest of streams, and the reflection of light intrigue me. Since I prefer to look up rather than down, I am always in awe of the clouds.
ABOUT THE ART
Starting with a graphite sketch of the land-water formation, I build thin layers with bold brushwork in oil to achieve a luminosity. I'm not concerned about the location but the feeling of place.
