ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a self-taught visual artist with over 25 years of experience in a diverse range of creative fields. including decorative art, murals, set painting for the film industry, functional art pieces, constructions, and architectural modelmaking. This rich interdisciplinary background has greatly influenced my artistic work, allowing me to blend various techniques and media effectively.
The inspiration behind my art often emerges organically during the creative process itself. I find myself drawn to the interplay of three-dimensional forms and shapes, particularly utilizing wood off-cuts from woodworking projects. These remnants become the foundation of my creations, as I explore and manipulate their inherent qualities while incorporating color compositions using acrylic paints and/or washes. My goal is to achieve a sense of fluidity, balance, and unity in every artwork, transforming simple materials into dynamic and engaging entities.

ABOUT THE ART

I explore the dynamic relationship between space, form, and color through abstract minimalist wall sculptures. I assemble geometric wooden pieces using traditional woodwork joinery techniques while incorporating acrylic painting to create abstract compositions that evoke a sense of balance and unit
