ABOUT THE ARTIST
practicing visual artist for over 35 years. For me, it is essential to be connected to nature, I feel in nature I find a direct link to the divine. My paintings are not photographic renderings of nature. . . they are expressions of the spirit and energy of our natural landscape. My techniques and processes of painting involve much serendipity and spontaneity and intuitive improvisation . . .I find this process mirrors spirit of how landscapes are formed.
ABOUT THE ART
All pieces are painted plain air, on panels, with oils. An extensive range of techniques are used, from heavy pallet knife impasto to glazing. All pieces are one of a kind, signed, and dated. These paintings are an expression of the spirit and energy of the landscape.
