My inspiration is deeply rooted in the intricate beauty of vintage anatomical and naturalist illustrations. What sets my collages apart is the distinctive way I repurpose wallpaper, transforming its patterns and textures into a mosaic-like medium that breathes new life into these timeless subjects. Each piece becomes a layered interplay of structure and organic detail, blending tradition with innovation.
ABOUT THE ART
Inspired by vintage anatomical and naturalist illustrations, I create mosaic-like collages from wallpaper. I work from dark to light, arranging the paper's patterns, colors, and images into unified compositions. One sees an overall image from a distance and small vignettes when viewed up close.
