ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am inspired by the beauty of nature that stimulates my imagination, and I enjoy visually describing what I think and feel without words in my paintings. . My original layering technique on silk is complex, and it accurately communicates the complexity of both nature, and my inner nature, and with it, I hope to inspire others to experience beauty..
ABOUT THE ART
I stretch silk on a frame, draw images on it using melted wax, and then paint with dyes & acrylics. I create two complete paintings then layer them together, a technique unique to my work. The process yields 3-dimensional forms, intense color & movement that engage the viewer's imagination.
