ABOUT THE ARTIST
My work work celebrates life and the common fabric of humanity. Combining abstraction with a kinetic approach rooted in classical lighting and form, I strive to embrace historical conventions while seeking to expand the language of art. Moving between realism and abstraction my painting is about seeing depicting both the focus and periphery of natural vision.
ABOUT THE ART
Acrylic and oil on linen or acrylic panels utilizing large brushes and a gestural, kinetic approach. Started flat on the studio floor on the back of the panel and completed on the easel on the front side with oil. Working from location, live models, performance imagery and imagination.
