ABOUT THE ART

My encaustic process applies dots of pigmented wax with a stylus, drawing on stippling and pointillism. The repetitive method creates tactile surfaces reminiscent of needlework or textiles, inviting viewers to engage physically and want to touch the work.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I'm an encaustic painter drawn to color, pattern, and the quiet power of repetition. My work is inspired by textile traditions, modernist design, and the way small, deliberate actions can build something complex and meditative. I apply hundreds—sometimes thousands—of small dots of pigmented wax by hand using a stylus, a slow process that creates richly textured surfaces. The finished paintings invite close looking and often spark a physical response, as viewers are drawn to the tactile quality of the wax and the sense of care embedded in the work.
