Christine Adele Moore

Bonita Springs

I joined the art circuit three years ago with work that is a culmination of my 26 years of professional experience. Raised by my self-taught artist mother, I went on to study Fine Art it the University of Delaware, Maryland Institute College of Art, New college of Southwest Florida. Following my studies, I began a business working primarily with interior designers helping them to realize a wide spectrum of their creative visions. In doing so, I have had the opportunity to grow beyond my own comfort zones, see things in way I may not have otherwise, and work hard and efficiently. Highlights include a commission to paint a highly detailed ceiling mural In the style of Tiempolo for the Walgreen's private Florida residence, 44' long by 35' wide. The job was of the complexity to merit an eighteen month deadline but it was necessary to complete the project in four months.

I use a combination of pouring and deliberate brushwork, working in layers...usually 3-15. I am inspired especially by the organic nature of the pouring....it can only be guided, not controlled. The deliberate brushwork is brought out of this process by meditating on the resulting organic image, which I find inevitably ties itself to my subconscious. The paintings are collaborations between myself and the mediums and are therapeutic and cathartic.
