ABOUT THE ARTIST
It started when I was little and would get lost in creating,Tom Sawyer's raft out of balsa wood, drawings etc. I didn't think about it, just did it. I wanted to be a zoologist. I love animals and basically ran free outdoors. In college I switched to art classes and it was all over. I never stopped.
ABOUT THE ART
I love the intensity of the color of the silk dyes and the texture of the silk. I feel as though I have a personal relationship with the materials that I've developed over the years and the conversation goes back and forth as paint. I cant get pushy or the piece or it will refuse to cooperate.
