ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in Pittsburgh, PA and I loved to draw from an early age. I was encouraged by my teachers and family which was definitely a factor. But I think the biggest support came from my college art teachers. I remember I sold my first painting to a teacher for $20. I moved to New York in 1977 and from that time I was gradually able to make a living with my art. I have had success in juried exhibitions and have won awards with Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA in Springfield, MO. as well as numerous others. The biggest gratification comes from being able to dedicate my life to my Art.
ABOUT THE ART
I continue to learn and discover new approaches to my work. By constant repetition, that is, working every day, I am able to improve my technique, solve problems and hopefully improve. Mainly, I find the city a constant source of inspiration.
