Lyn, Sedlak-Ford

Growing up on a farm in southwestern Wisconsin, seventh child of fifteen, I was surrounded by beautiful hills and quiet nights with star sprinkled skies. In a painting class at age five, I first experienced the joy of colors. My journey as an artist began and I was soon viewing everything as colors communicating with each other.

I find the verre e'glomise process to be refreshing. It can not be duplicated. The first stroke of paint that I put down is the first stroke
that you as the viewer sees. It is not possible to go back and place another stroke on top of the painting with the intention of changing it. Brush strokes can not be covered by additional marks or revisions. My focus is to create only original work.
