ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was a graphic designer for 20 years before taking up painting, trading the clean precision of digital art for the expressive freedom of abstract experimentation. My design skills remain handy for promoting my art and I believe that a sense of color and composition drives both my art and design.
ABOUT THE ART
I think a lot about the beauty in decay - the uniqueness of a surface made unsmooth by time or weather or use. I'm always excited by a finished piece, acrylic scraped over dried acrylic texture, appearing like something clean and whole and new that has been ravaged by some natural, organic process.
