ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a shape maker. I love the process of discovery involved in creating the plates for my printmaking, and love to see these shapes come alive in color on paper, and to life as large scale steel sculpture. Art for me is an exploration in rhythm form and beauty.
ABOUT THE ART
My forms for my large scale steel sculpture come to me when I create my printing plates which I cut on either scroll saw or bandsaw. These designs are created in the moment of creation with no preconceived idea in mind. The forms resulting from such spontaneity have a vibrant life of their own.
