ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bonnie Shanas is a sculptor based in NJ. Her work has been in national juried shows, winning awards & honorable mentions. Since 2012 she has participated in invitational art residencies in Europe, where her work can be found in public collections, as well as private collections in Europe & the US.
ABOUT THE ART
Bonnie's sculptures are a figurative study of human expressions, stripped from social context and personal identity, focusing instead on the universal language of unspoken gestures and motion. She works primarily in steel mesh, using her hands and minimal tools, making each piece unique.
