ABOUT THE ARTIST
In the last several years my work has become more loose and gestural and while there is an element of compulsive mark-making the paintings actually are a response to events unfolding and experiences in life.
ABOUT THE ART
My paintings in the Rittenhouse show are abstract pieces using very slow drying oil glazes and a free form sgraffito technique that is sometimes very precise and also compulsive, aggressive and meditative by turns.
