ABOUT THE ARTIST
Growing up in a family of artists I have been looking at and making art since I can remember. My maternal grandmother was especially influential in introducing me to mixed media and sparked my interest in combining materials. She taught me to see the creative possibilities in everything.
ABOUT THE ART
My paintings are narrative. I collect images from magazines and catalogs and use that as my starting point. I then begin to layer the images, acrylic paint, charcoal and other materials fitting my characters into the developing story to create playful scenes of our everyday lives.
