ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cook grew up in Massachusetts and started drawing at a young age. After finishing his undergraduate degree in upstate New York, he moved to New York City where he pursued his MFA at the New York Academy of Art. Cook lived and worked in NYC for 10 years and recently moved to Philadelphia.
ABOUT THE ART
Cook's paintings are timestamps, memories, and experiences, compiled through photography, drawing, and imagination. While the imagery can be banal, and sometimes disjointed, the underlying thread is a moment worth capturing; a memory that would otherwise be lost to the constant flood of information.
