ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kate lives with her husband on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where they own a Specialty Cut Flower Farm. Her studio is in their renovated 1801 barn on the historic farm. Primarily self taught , her paintings are inspired by observations of her surroundings on the Eastern Shore and the coast.

"My paintings point to the dramatic contrast of complementary colors and transitions between reality and unreality. I like to push the boundaries of realism to abstraction. My work will move from loose realism to the more abstract aspects of each pieces composition.
