ABOUT THE ARTIST
Matthew has been painting for almost twenty years. He is a self taught artist, and his former life as an architect has trained him to observe and appreciate details. His studio is located in his home in Frederick, MD where he lives with his wife, son, and dog.
ABOUT THE ART
Matthew paints the image of every day items, celebrating the light, color, and form of the things we find in our pantry, refrigerator, or bar. Matthew paints with thin layers of oils to build up color and establish a realistic portrayal of his subjects.
