ABOUT THE ARTIST
Melissa is a self-taught artist that began painting in 2016. She quickly realized she was able to capture a dramatic interpretation of her subject. After submitting her work in an international competition and winning 2nd place, she began exhibiting at art events nationwide.
ABOUT THE ART
All of my creations begin with an original sketch after many hours of research. As a painter of realism, I strive to build compositions that grab a viewer's attention and draw them closer to contemplate the subject. Deep detail, and an engaging subject conspire to pull the viewer into the painting.
