ABOUT THE ARTIST
I grew up with, and love using, technology to create art : Photoshop, digital cameras, etc. While I make physical paintings, I purposefully use characteristics that arrive from the digital process, e.g. bokeh from camera lens, or long exposures. Things we can only see with the aid of these tools.
ABOUT THE ART
My oil paintings could be described as "realistic impressionism". I paint human figures in narrative poses focusing on mood and story, using loose, splattering techniques for textural interest, and tighter, more traditional techniques to render the figure.
