I am a grandson of Howard Ashman Patterson, an established American painter. I graduated from Suny Purchase with honors in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. I've traveled extensively for inspiration, painting landscapes and people in their environments in various light of all the different days
ABOUT THE ART
My work focuses on Light, reflected light and its color effects; the positive and negative shapes between figures, and color relations woven together to create the rhythm and energy. Over years my work has gone in and out of several styles and subject series but most always includes the human figure
