ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born into a family of artists in 1954 in Hagerstown, MD.
I have enjoyed a lifetime career in the arts. I made my living as a commercial artist and graphic designer, also teaching in the art department of my alma mater. When I entered my sixties I decided it was time to paint what I wanted.
ABOUT THE ART
My paintings are created on wood panels or heavy watercolor paper. Texture is used to determine the composition of the painting. Within it I find a kind of landscape with various flora and fauna and architectural features, influenced by my surroundings here in rural West Virginia.
