ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a self-taught flameworking glass artist. My career has spanned 46 years, specializing in the creation of a wide variety of wildflowers from different countries. I like to explore the interplay between clear and colored glasses. My goal is to express the mystical fragility of our natural world

ABOUT THE ART

With oxygen & propane torches (2000-2500 degrees F flame) I turn clear or
colored borosilicate glass into stylized wildflower sculptures. Blowing or
using freehand Flameworking methods, I attempt to show movement, detail &
delicacy w/ my solid glass bases providing true continuity for me in my
work
