ABOUT THE ARTIST
Classically trained in portrait painting, Temre turned to nature during a residency in 2008, inspired to capture the perennial life cycle and has been painting plant and landscape images ever since. She gets ideas for paintings from her vegetable garden and also walking her dog at the preserve.
ABOUT THE ART
In my studio, painting is a conversation and also a meditation on wholeness, timelessness, and inner beauty. I use abstract elements to explore this conversation, but draw inspiration from the natural world, especially the landscape in the Brandywine Valley Region.
