ABOUT THE ARTIST
Many of my works are inspired by the Blue Ridge mountains in North Carolina where I currently live. My paintings start with an abstract, vibrant under painting and I slowly build up layers of paint using a palette knife allowing bits of the under painting to show through on the finished piece.
ABOUT THE ART
I spread, drag, scrape, and scratch several layers of thick acrylic paint onto my canvas with a palette knife starting with a vibrant under painting and adding details until the landscape unfolds.
