ABOUT THE ARTIST
My sculptures are complex and my surfaces are painted with fire. Just as individuals form relationships so do my larger wall sculptures assemble to float across the wall. The Neolithic Bi Disc inspires my circular wall pieces. Flocks of birds hoover over my studio and land on collected antiques.
ABOUT THE ART
Over the decades I have combined surface, form and materials (clay, metal, wood and antiques). I paint with fire using raku and sagger kilns. My clay sculptures are hand built. Metallic oxides and combustibles create my unique carbon markings. Antiques and carved wooden supports are used.
