ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have painted portraits for nearly 30 years and along the way, I began using the historical and traditional meaning of portraiture to honor animals. I am forever inspired to speak of the magnificence of animals we share the planet with . . . using color and light as my voice.
ABOUT THE ART
I enjoy painting on canvas and panels. I paint using both, indirect and direct methods. I employ the texture from using a palette knife to awaken the haptic sense in our vision as well as using bold and gestural strokes of the brush to add dynamic energy and a sense of spontaneity to my subjects.
