ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ummarid Eitharong came to the US as a young man from Bangkok, Thailand. He has been doing art shows for over 40 years. He began his career as a photo-realistic pencil artist drawing in large format. He then transitioned to large scale mixed media and now works in large scale abstract paintings.
ABOUT THE ART
Ummarid uses acrylic paint, oil pastel, charcoal and modeling polymer to create large scale abstract paintings. His use of color, symbol, line and texture combine to make the viewer engage with the work.
