ABOUT THE ARTIST
Using a wide variety of different brands of soft pastel in specific sequences of both color and evolving technique, I revel in pushing thru the historic limitations of the medium, as I center my process within the feelings of being in Nature, connected, and guided by light that defines a path home.
ABOUT THE ART
I use a large palette of soft pastels, often handmade, on archival board. I blend with my fingers and use the edge of the pastel for detail. I do not use fixatives, brushes, pastel pencils, blending tools or liquids in order to ensure the careful preservation of delicate details and color harmonies.
