ABOUT THE ARTIST

For over two decades, my artistic practice has been an intuitive exploration of color, form, and memory. As a mixed media artist, painter, and textile designer, I craft layered compositions that blur the boundaries between the tangible and the imagined. Drawing from my formal education in Sculpture at the Massachusetts College of Art, I integrate traditional fine art techniques with unconventional materials and methods, creating a dialogue between structure and spontaneity. My work is deeply experiential, centering on gesture, emotional resonance, and a responsive interplay of color and form.
My process is rooted in experimentation and layering, reflecting the complexity of lived experience. Patterns and textures emerge and dissolve, evoking the tactile quality of textiles while maintaining the fluidity of painting. Influenced by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and mid-century modern design, I incorporate elements of rhythm and repetition as visual metaphors for connection. Vivid hues and bold contrasts define my palette, highlighting the transformative power of color to inspire and uplift.
Through surreal compositions, I create breadcrumbs for viewers to navigate their own journey, encouraging personal interpretation and discovery. My work transforms observation into an engaging dialogue, inviting patrons to immerse themselves in its multifaceted dimensions. Each piece serves as a space for reflection and imagination, sparking connections that transcend language and culture. My goal is to craft art that resonates emotionally, inspires curiosity, and fosters a sense of wonder.

ABOUT THE ART

Guided by color theory, I layer pigments to create unexpected compositions, inspired by textile design and nature. Each painting is bright and playful, unfolding intuitively much like my process. Color is an emotion and the brilliance of acrylic inspires joy and curiosity.
