I am inspired by everyday life in the city. I love Museums and art galleries. also friendships with other artists provide much inspiration.
ABOUT THE ART
I create my plates on Zinc in the traditional etching process (intaglio). Acid resist is applied to the plate and with an etching needle I draw my image, removing the wax where I want the Nitric acid to bite into the metal. Tones (aquatint)are achieved using powdered resin and waxy crayon & acid.
