ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a painter of places, both rural and urban. All the places I am drawn to, whether populated by cows or in parking lots I try and convey a sense of place and time by emphasizing the light that falls on it. The work has a sense of transience and I try and capture the wonder if that particular time of day.
ABOUT THE ART
I use professional artists oil paints, brushes and palette knives on cradled wood panels to create my paintings.
I start by applying paint directly, then layer, scrape and glaze for texture.
