ABOUT THE ARTIST
I utilize hiking/walking as an art practice. My work is rooted in landscape, so inserting my body and experiencing the landscape with it is imperative. Along the trail, I find a place to sit, meditate, then paint loose sketches that serve as a bridge between wild nature and formal studio practice.
ABOUT THE ART
Exploring stories of inner demons, desires and vulnerabilities of the human mind through layers of encaustic, acrylic, mark-making, pattern and collage. Collaged images act as another form of paint as well as trigger memory and create personal connections.
