ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am an artist living and working in my hometown of Greenville, SC and the content of my work is drawn from my life. My grandmother's textile works and uncle's woodworking are important to my approach of painting. I treat each section of the painting like I would treat fabric when making a quilt, with each shape carefully hand-stenciled or cut and and each painted area thoughtfully textured with non-traditional painting tools.

ABOUT THE ART

My work consists of 20-30 layers of paint on wood panel. Each layer of paint is hand stenciled and applied with brushes, squeegees, and other non-traditional painting tools.
