ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a pastel artist specializing in landscapes and seascapes, I draw inspiration from the shifting moods of nature and animals. I love to capture the essence of light and atmosphere. I use high-quality soft pastels and sanded paper, often layering with underpainting to create depth. My approach includes optical blending, and blending with fingers and tools for a painterly effect, emphasizing the movement and energy in my scenes.

For my original pastel paintings I use high-quality, soft pastels on premium sanded paper, allowing for vibrant layers and optical blending. Techniques include underpainting to establish depth and dynamic color contrasts, followed by varying strokes and marks to achieve rich texture.
