ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a 1983 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art where I received the prestigious top Gund Award. I hold a BFA degree with a Major in Glass and a Minor in Drawing. I studied at the Penland School of Crafts. I have operated a private studio since 1983, have taught glass at the college level, lectured and taught workshops at universities in the US and abroad.
From a young age, I marveled at my father’s ability to design and create things with his hands. Although not an artist, he often behaved as one. I took this que and have followed this passion ever since.
My passion for the material, abilities in both the cold shop and hot shop as well as my love for the creative process, melding ideas and concepts through glass, are truly my life’s work!
ABOUT THE ART
