ABOUT THE ARTIST
As an artist, my work is deeply rooted in storytelling, each piece is a journey through transformation, persistence, and the quiet beauty of becoming. I primarily work with charcoal, a medium I adore for its raw, tactile nature and its ability to evoke striking contrasts between light and shadow. My drawings explore themes of evolution, metaphor, and the interplay between darkness and light.
But my techniques go beyond traditional drawing. Once my initial drawing is complete, I pour encaustic wax over it, a process that preserves the intricate details while creating a rich, textured surface. On top of this, I layer oil pastels in a loose, graffiti-inspired style. This contrast between the hyper-refined details of my drawings and the spontaneous energy of the pastel overlay gives each piece a dynamic, multidimensional quality.
ABOUT THE ART
My art is created through the use of individual lines to make up one larger drawing, I then pour encaustic and oil pastel.
