ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm intrigued with the open rugged terrain from Cappadocia landscape in Turkey to the Rocky Mountains. I call myself a reactionary painter. As I create layers of textures, paint and marks I'm reacting to the shapes which leads to large open spaces and in-depth surfaces.
ABOUT THE ART
Multiple layers of acrylic paint, my own formula of fiber paste medium for texture. mark-making with oil sticks, charcoal, graphite, pastels and wax on wood panel or gallery wrapped canvas, scraped and sanded for relief. Finished with varnish.
