ABOUT THE ARTIST
I love the ocean and life surrounding the water, specifically the place where the water meets the land. There's magic there, it's a beautiful and harsh environment and changes all the time. I am traditionally oriented and focused on details, but I also enjoy abstracted compositions. That combination is what I find most interesting.
ABOUT THE ART
I work with oil exclusively, on linen, panel or canvas. I work from a drawing then underpainting, and through various layers of transparent and opaque applications. I focus on details as a way to allow the viewer to be amazed at the scene so that it places them in it with various emotions at play.
