ABOUT THE ARTIST

I'm a traditional oil painter who loves capturing the beauty of my local surroundings and the places that hold special meaning for me. I grew up near the Delaware beaches, and I'm still deeply inspired by the stunning landscapes and wildlife of the Northern Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania area. I'm particularly drawn to the nautical, marine, and beach life of Sussex County, Delaware.

ABOUT THE ART

I use traditional oil paints to make my art. I capture the essence from life or photos I've taken. I apply a toning layer to a canvas/linen surface, let it dry, and then use charcoal or graphite to draw my subject. Before I start painting, I apply a fixative to make sure the drawing is stable.
