ABOUT THE ARTIST
Having lived at the shore for over 40 years, I am inspired by the ever-changing relationship between sea and shore, water and marsh. I am motivated to bring depictions of what I see as beauty, in the form of paintings, to as many people as possible in hopes of their recalling a moment of joy.
ABOUT THE ART
Starting with a graphite sketch of the land-water formation, I build thin layers with bold brushwork in oil to achieve a luminosity. I'm not concerned about the location but the feeling of place.
