ABOUT THE ARTIST

My sculptures are complex and my surfaces are painted with carbon marks that come from the fiiring. Just as individuals form relationships so do my larger wall sculptures assemble to float across the wall. Neolithic Bi Discs inspire my round disc wall pieces that hang below antiques or sculpted wood. Flocks of birds hoover over my studio and become sculptures that land on collected antiques.

ABOUT THE ART

Over the decades I have united form and surface while combining clay, wood, metal and antiques. I paint with fire using raku and sagger kilns. My clay sculptures are hand built. Metallic oxides and combustibles create my unique carbon markings on these hollow sculptures.
