ABOUT THE ARTIST
I draw with watercolor pencil in large formats, which is rather unusual for the materials, but it allows me to achieve charcoal-like lines in a mixed media context. Additionally my works contain collage elements that come through the drawing and painting and which I choose for their relationship to the subject (maps, old encyclopedia articles about the city, or engineering diagrams). In terms of subjects, I love dynamic scenes with movement, perspective, and bold structural elements that allow me to play with light and shadows
ABOUT THE ART
Drawn with watercolor pencils, graphite, pastels, wax pencil, and ink, over acrylic and collage: a background of old maps, antique encyclopedia pages, and other materials related to the imagery.
I add color with acrylics and gouache, which blend my drawn lines, suggesting movement and shadows.
