ABOUT THE ARTIST

For me, it is essential to be connected to nature. The landscape mirrors their range of emotions I experience and it is part to ones wellness, and it is a door - a direct link - to much of the spiritual meaning I seek . . . it is a path to the Divine.
Working with the spirit of this imagery ( through processes of accident and spontaneity and serendipity ) and exploring the physical poetry of the painting medium . . . is the essence of these paintings.

ABOUT THE ART

All pieces are painted from plein air studies, on canvas, with oils. In the studio these studies are translated into bigger canvases. An extensive range of techniques are used, from heavy pallet knife impasto to glazing. All pieces are one of a kind, signed, and dated.
