ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a self-taught artist, who first fell in love with the mesmerizing effects of hyperrealism when working as an artist for Madame Tussauds. As I transitioned to a 2-D medium, I was immediately drawn to the technical challenge of recreating textures through trompe-loeil effects.

My ongoing series of antique glass bottle drawings is inspired by the beauty of aging and the forgotten stories these objects hold. I take care to capture each crack, wrinkle, and stain, preserving their character, while bringing them back to life in a new context.

What sets my work apart is my freehand approach to hyperrealism drawing without stencils, tracing, or grids. My process also involves extensive research, from sourcing and photographing rare and historic bottles, to deciphering damaged labels, and piecing together historic records. Through this work, I aim to spark curiosity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship and the stories hidden in these forgotten objects.

ABOUT THE ART

I create hyperrealistic graphite drawings on cotton paper. I work entirely freehand, without tracing or using stencils. All of my work is professionally framed with UV protective and anti-glare glass. My body of work depicts antique bottles, accompanied by piece-specific research on the bottle.
