ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a realist painter who's work is often mistaken for photography from a distance. On closer viewing the brushwork and techniques make it evident that these are paintings. I look for dynamic compositions, quality of light and vibrant hues in my subjects which vary from moments of natural beauty to candid interactions in an urban landscape.
I use traditional watercolors and materials, but use much more value and stronger color than is typical in watercolor painting.
ABOUT THE ART
Transparent watercolor painted on 100% cotton paper (Arches or Fabriano). The whites of the paintings are the paper. No white paint is used.
