ABOUT THE ARTIST
As an artist, my work is deeply rooted in nature's rhythm and movement. I create cyanotype artwork on watercolor paper and organic cotton, a process that blends 19th-century photographic techniques with contemporary artistic expression. My inspiration comes from the intricate shapes and patterns found in the natural world, leaves drifting in the wind, the delicate veins of a fern, or the quiet geometry of a forest floor.
Each piece begins with a mindful walk, where I collect leaves with intention, selecting forms that create balance and harmony in my compositions. I hand-coat my materials with a light-sensitive solution and use sunlight as my collaborator, allowing it to develop the deep blue hues that define my work. Sometimes, I layer exposures to add depth, mirroring the organic layering found in nature.
This process is both scientific and intuitive, an interplay of light and shadow, structure and spontaneity. Ultimately, my artwork is an homage to nature, capturing its fleeting beauty in a tangible form.
ABOUT THE ART
My art captures the beauty of nature through cyanotypes. Using sunlight and plants, I create intricate compositions on light-sensitive paper. Each piece highlights the details of the natural world, transforming simple elements into lasting impressions of organic harmony in a stunning blue hue.
