ABOUT THE ARTIST
I enjoy bringing realistic details to life through the unique medium of wood stain. Details seem to be lost in the rush of our everyday life so I try to capture the breath of my viewers with my artwork and cause a deliberate pause to focus on the beauty around us. I hand-draw each piece directly onto the wood and use black wood stain with only q-tips and/or cloths on my fingertips to do all the shading work of each piece. The high contrast look of the black stain on the sepia tone of the natural wood creates a soft yet stunning statement piece ready to match any space. I have chosen to only create one-of-a-kind originals with no prints to increase the value of my work for each individual customer.
ABOUT THE ART
Each image is free-hand drawn on poplar wood and stained with black wood stain using only q-tips and cloths on my fingertips. Each piece is clear-coated for protection. The result is a high contrast yet soft, sepia tone original.
